Colin Steadman

Trainer

Colin has been in the transportation industry since 1993, Starting as a radio dispatcher and class B driver. After obtaining his class A in 1994 he drove long haul and regional until 2015, When Colin started as a trainer. He has a great gift that allows him reach each student with his patients and knowledge of skills to help them grow in to safe and capable drivers.
Colin is also a US Coast Guard Veteran.

Dave Brinkerhoff

Trainer

Dave Brinkerhoff brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Utah Trucking Academy from 27 years as a Utah State Trooper, 5 of those years as a certified, CVSA, DOT, CMV federal truck inspector. Also 5 years as a Utah State safety inspection officer. Dave also retired from the United States Navy reserves as a Senior Chief Petty Officer with over 25 years teaching experience in different areas of expertise. With Dave’s experience as a UHP /Dot Officer it brings a unique opportunity for our students see and be trained in all aspects of CDL training.

Leland Neilson

Trainer and Operations Manager

Leland has been in the Transpiration industry for 40 years when he started working with heavy trucks. He owned his own One Stop Mobil Repair for Semi’s on the go. He is a retired Federal Officer and Vietnam Veteran. His skills and knowledge of how trucks run give our students an inside knowledge of workings of a truck.

Gail Harding

Director of Student Services

Gail has been in the transportation industry since a young age when she was often found riding on her father’s knee in his truck. She has been a teacher and trainer in many aspects for over 20 years, working with youth and disabled adults to seniors. Leaving the healthcare industry as a trainer in 2014 she returned to recruiting students into the transportation industry where she gained many friends, and contact both in the industry and the government side of transportation. She has the skills to help students get in school, through school and a new lifestyle with a great career.
